Archer has been in good form this year and has impressed while playing for the England cricket team in recent months.
After bagging the Player of the Series award in the Test series against New Zealand, the Royals quick backed it up with another stunning display in the recently concluded T20I series against India.
The right-arm pacer picked up seven wickets to finish as the joint-leading wicket-taker and helped England win the series 4-0. His standout performance came in the third T20I at Trent Bridge, where he returned figures of 3/29 to earn the Player of the Match award.
Archer earlier spearheaded Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack during IPL 2026, finishing as the franchise's leading wicket-taker with 25 wickets in 16 matches and playing a pivotal role in the team's run to the playoffs.
For England, Archer has claimed 65 wickets in 36 ODIs at an average of 24.38 and an economy rate of 5.01. His career-best figures of 6/40 came against South Africa three years ago.
The upcoming series will mark Archer's first ODI appearance for England since facing New Zealand in November last year.
The Indian cricket team, meanwhile, will be eager to bounce back after the T20I series defeat.
