Royals players Riyan Parag and Dhruv Jurel have been picked in the India A squad for the upcoming ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. Eight Asian teams are set to participate in this 50-over tournament that will be played from July 13 to 23 in Sri Lanka.

Led by young Yash Dhull, India A will kickstart their campaign on July 13 against UAE A at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in Colombo. They are placed in Group B, alongside Pakistan A, Nepal A and UAE A. Group A features hosts Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Oman A and Afghanistan A.

Dhruv Jurel comes into the side on the back of a fruitful debut IPL season, where he first impressed as the 'Impact Player' for the Rajasthan Royals. With his calm demeanour and the ability to go big from ball one, Dhruv earned a deserving spot in the Playing XI as the season progressed. As for his teammate Riyan, the 2023 IPL season wasn't his best, but the 21-year-old has been a consistent performer for Assam in the domestic circuit.
