Fellow 19-year-old and wicketkeeper-batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who is enjoying a breakout season with the Proteas, swept the 4-Day Player of the Season and T20 Batter of the Season awards.
Pretorius piled up 436 runs in five first-class games last season at an imposing average of 72.66. The tally included three centuries.
In the domestic T20 league, he topped the scoring charts with 397 runs from 12 matches, striking at 166.80.
Pretorius’ rise has also extended to the international arena.
In June, he became the youngest South African to score a Test century, blasting 153 on debut against Zimbabwe, and last month struck his maiden T20I half-century – a 35-ball 51 against New Zealand in the Zimbabwe Tri-Series final.
Nandre Burger was celebrated for his express pace, clinching the Best Delivery award for the searing ball that removed Mikyle Louis during the second Test against the West Indies in Guyana.
