Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was named in the 15-member Indian squad that will compete at the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 cricket tournament, starting in Dubai on December 12.
Organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), the Men’s U19 Asia Cup is a limited overs cricket tournament featuring eight Under-19 teams.
The upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup will be the 12th edition of the 50-over tournament and will culminate with the final on December 21.
The five full members of the ACC - Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka - along with three qualifiers will take part in the tournament.
India have been drawn in Group A alongside Pakistan and two other teams that will enter the tournament through a qualification round.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, will be looking to make his mark and cap off what has been a breakthrough year in cricket for the prodigious teenager.
He made history as the youngest-ever IPL player at just 14 years and 23 days, debuting against the Lucknow Super Giants before stunning everyone nine days later by becoming the youngest centurion in the league’s history.
Vaibhav’s explosive 35-ball 100 against the Gujarat Titans was the fastest IPL century by an Indian and the second-fastest overall, only behind Chris Gayle.
He also scored a half-century against Chennai Super Kings and finished his debut IPL campaign with 252 runs scored at a sensational strike rate of 206.56.
Vaibhav then shone for the India U19 team on their tour of England, where he finished as the top scorer in the five-match Youth ODI series with 355 runs at an average of 71.00 and an astonishing strike rate of 174.01.
His blistering 143 in the fourth match of the series was the fastest century ever in U19 men’s ODIs and made him the youngest player to achieve the feat in the format’s history.
The explosive southpaw also slammed a ton against the Australia U19 team in Brisbane in a Youth Test match last month.
His most recent jaw-dropping innings came in the Rising Stars Asia Cup, where he scored 144 off 42 balls for India A against UAE, smashing 11 fours and 15 sixes.
His 32-ball hundred made him the youngest man to score a century for any national representative side at senior level, breaking a two-decade-old record.
The 14-year-old is currently featuring in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025, where he has been named as the vice-captain of his state Bihar.
