Rajasthan Royals announced their entry in the cricket metaverse today by the way of their partnership with FanCraze to launch exclusive digital collectibles and to enable Web 3.0 experiences for their loyal fans.

The first set of digital collectibles will drop on December 23, when fans will be able to purchase exclusive player cards featuring key players from the Rajasthan Royals squad. Player cards of captain Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Trent Boult and more will be available for fans to collect and become a part of the legacy of the inaugural IPL champions.

Fans who acquire the first edition of these player cards from FanCraze will own a piece of Rajasthan Royals’ history. Fans can build and trade collections of their favourite players, be eligible for exclusive merch and match ticket giveaways, unlock money-can’t-buy experiences, and interact with Rajasthan Royals’ roster of players and coaches throughout the year.

FanCraze, the largest Web3.0 company in India by revenues and number of users, currently has more than 1 million video collectibles on its platform featuring the greatest moments in ICC history, and is building a community for fans by bringing together digital collectibles, gaming, utilities, and real-world experiences.

Anshum Bhambri, CEO of FanCraze remarked: “With the launch of IPL Team Player Cards this week, FanCraze continues to pioneer innovations in sports-based digital collectibles adding to our already thriving cricket marketplace and game offerings like FanCraze Flash. The partnership with Rajasthan Royals will enable us to bring-to-market new offerings for Indian cricket fans and a new paradigm of engagement between teams and their fans. We cannot wait to unlock new categories of collectibles, games and multi-modal digital experiences as we evangelise the Web 3.0 space in India and beyond.”
