Dhruv Jurel is making a habit of rewriting his own record books in IPL 2026.
The 25-year-old Rajasthan Royals batter produced a sublime unbeaten 81 off 43 balls against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati to register his highest T20 score yet - his second such milestone this season.
Coming in as early as the third over after the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jurel showed maturity amidst the Vaibhav Sooryavanshi onslaught from the other end.
He began watchfully before shifting gears, stitching together a blistering 108-run stand with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi off just 37 balls to set the tone for the chase.

The Jurel–Sooryavanshi partnership reached 100 in just 34 balls - the second-fastest century stand in IPL history.
Jurel then assumed control in a dramatic middle phase, steadying the Rajasthan Royals innings after a sudden collapse threatened to derail the chase.
While RR tumbled from 129/1 in eight overs to 137/4 in the 10th - losing Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag in rapid succession - Dhruv Jurel stood firm under pressure at the other end.
He brought up his sixth IPL half-century in just 25 balls and, courtesy of an unbeaten 68-run partnership with Ravindra Jadeja, ensured RR chased down RCB’s 201/8 in 18 overs.
Jurel’s knock - laced with eight fours and three sixes - came at a striking rate of 188.37. Earlier this season, he had smashed 75 off 42 balls against the Gujarat Titans, surpassing his previous best of 70 against Sunrisers Hyderabad from IPL 2025.
The right-handed wicket-keeper batter now has 856 runs from 46 IPL matches at an average of 31.70 and a strike rate of 158.81, with all six of his T20 fifties coming in the IPL.
