Both KXIP and RR are coming from huge defeats vs Mumbai Indians. However, KXIP is sitting on the top of the table and have already booked themselves for the playoffs. With the competition for the third and fourth Playoffs spots becoming intense, RR on the other will be looking to get these 2 points and sealing their fate for this year's playoffs.

The most recent meeting between these two teams produced a run-fest; Rajasthan Royals posted 191 runs on the board, riding on half-centuries from Sanju Samson and Shane Watson. Kings XI Punjab, riding on Glenn Maxwell's 89 and a cameo from David Miller (51*), then chased down the runs quite comfortably, romping home to a seven-wicket victory in the 19th over.

Though their bowling attack has been steady right through the season, it is the batting that has won Kings XI Punjab majority of the games. It is, therefore, important that the likes of Glenn Maxwell, David Miller and Virender Sehwag pile up the big runs yet again. KXIP will be looking to see their batsmen fire once again and take the team to victory. Team will be worried about their bowling department performances. Having leaked too many runs in the previous match, it will be very important for them to control the flow and restrict RR batsmen.

Unlike many other teams, the Rajasthan Royals do not depend on one or two individuals. The team plays like a unit and depends on every individual to play his part. However, the two players who will be expected to shoulder the responsibility more than the others are Ajinkya Rahane and Captain Shane Watson. Karun Nair too will be looking to recover from the previous performance and rise to the occasion.

In their previous match, the experiment of picking up playing 11 backfired and RR lost very important match vs MI. It will be very important to see what team their think tank will put together for the game. Pretty much a deciding game, RR will be looking to put in their strongest 11 men on the field vs the "top of the table" team KXIP. Pravin Tambe, RR's key bowler, will be looking to take down the strongest batting line-up which comprises of the name like Glen Maxwell, David Miller, Virender Sehwag and George Bailey. On the other hand, Sandeep Sharma and co. will have a huge task of stopping the Watson's men who will be in their fierce attack of winning the match.

Head-To-Head: 12

Pravin Tambe: Leading the bowling department for RR, Tambe has a mountainous task ahead of this game. The veteran will be looking to live up to the expectations.

David Miller: Along with Maxwell, they form an unbeatable duo. Together they have won the matches for KXIP.
